matt paint is in! Still wouldn't by one..........but that V10..........
I never intended to buy an Alpaca interior thinking that kids would destroy it , but in fact its great and IMHO makes the car feel more spacious inside."its probably a virus, you'll be right as rain in a few days and if you're playing sport try to favour the other leg"
As for matt finish, Ralph Schumacher has a matt black Bentley, I saw it in final inspection up at Crewe, the factory guys were dead scared of marking it, as any attempt to polish a mark out would leave a glossy patch.

Don't really understand the Toerag... The styling is starting to look dated, and although it offers quite a bit of equipment, most of it is optional and EXPENSIVE. Most enthusiasts will say, "yeah well ok fine the Touareg maybe isn't great, but what about the TDV10 Touareg?!". Fully equipped with a V10 this thing is in the ballpark with SUVs that are as good or better, not to mention some absolutely stellar saloons and sports cars... (I'm talking about US models, not sure what this comparison would be like in your area)
- Offroad it's OK, but not that good (certainly not as good as a D3, which is better equipped when compared to a Touareg at the same price point). Not to mention the TDV10 is usually not equipped for offroad, with body kits and big wheels.
- Onroad, for the same price (or a bit less) as a fully equipped Touareg V10 TDI you can get a fully equipped Cayenne S. Touareg has more torque, but less horsepower, and takes 7.5 seconds 0-60 vs. the Cayenne's 6.4 seconds. And I can't even imagine the difference when the road gets twisty.
- Other competitors, all fully-equipped, compared to the V10 Touareg: Lexus LX570 (about US$5k more), BMW X6 (about US$10k cheaper), BMW X5 4.8 (also about US$10k cheaper), FFRR (about $5k more), RRS Supercharged ($2k less)... there's also the Q7 and GL 450/550 if you're into that...
- AND NOT TO MENTION: BMW M3 8) , Porsche 911 Carrera, Audi S5, Audi A8, BMW 750i, MB E550
After seeing that list, if you really still want a Touareg, go ahead! But I'd be having second thoughts
Even if you go for a lower-spec Touareg, IMHO it gets consistently outclassed by other cars at the same price point.

How do I find out if mine is Alpaca or Tundra (assuming that they are both pale tones)?

Shrinky,
I looked for the option 'used tissues, biscuit crumbs, spit, nappy fluff and muddy shoe prints' in the poll but couldn't see it there Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?
