I use a 500ml to a full tank of Diesel. But to be honest, I haven't really noticed a difference in performance or MPG.

Put it in the D4 for the first time today.....time will tell, but after trying it for a couple of months in my D3 and not noticing any difference, I'm not expecting much...
I'm a regular user of Millers, and checked my MAP sensor today...completely clean,so I'll probably revert back to that, but I'll give the TSO a chance..... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Ive been reading a lot on here about adding 2 stroke oil to the diesel when filling up. Does this really work or is it a wind up? Are there any downsides to doing it? would you recommend I do it to my 146000 mile 2006 D3? which ahs possibly never had it added before.
cheers

Leave well alone
If your Disco isn't well....
There are other ways of sorting it....
Including fuel additives other than TSO....
My vote is don't do it.... BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

I've been using it religiously for 7 years in the same vehicle without any adverse side effects and the MOT tester still remarks about the low emissions, you cannot do any harm in using it, give it a double dose for first two tanks and you will notice an improvement but only slight, the damage(wear) has already been done to your vehicle with it not being added earlier. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

All I can say is that I have been using 2 stroke oil that is 5 ml per litre for the last 3 years and my engine is just so quiet. My egr valves were spotless. We also have 3 transit vans and use 2 stroke in hem to and again the engines are just so quiet. Landrover Discovery 3 TDV6 S 7 seat Automatic

Hi is it possible I could get some tips off you for how you got your engine to keep lasting so long, as I would like mine to also go on and on!

would 250ml per tank still give a good effect?
hgbosch wrote:ronp wrote:OK, I'm going to give this a go.
So it'll be Jaso FC for my 2011 SDV6, yes?
But what is best mix, I don't want to work in 'ratios', I prefer 'ml to full tank'.
I've seen on this thread anything from 200ml up to 600ml per tank.
So what's best?
Also, should I use more for the first few tanks, then reduce after a few fill ups?
Hi ronp
I would start with 500ml per tank. If you want to you can reduce to 400ml from tank 3 onwards.
