| Knocking/Bumping sound @ front end. |

Just noticed in last day or two, a slight knocking/bumping sound from front Left/Right or both, its hard enough to describe. Most noticable at low speeds over bumps. Anyway has any body encountered this before. Dealer replaced 2 bushing's @ front @ last service but never noticed this noise. Bushing were a fiver each i think on invoice. any advice appreciated. not seen any hard driving or rough terrain since last service! Cheers  07 Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial (Java Black) with:

lower wishbones maybe, they make a sort of clunk, mine were done at about 60K end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

spotter, a clunk is correct! 
iv 86,000kms on the disco (54k miles). what was the story with yours spotter? are they an in warranty item or do they fall under the usual story from dealer of "wear & tear"!! ill get a chap at work to take a look at them tomorrow. much involved. 07 Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial (Java Black) with:

Only diagnosed bud , not fixed.TBH I should have done a quick test myself on each corner but didnt even think that they could be knackered , thought that it might be damper bushings or such . 210,000 klms for the record. Would hardly think you have the same problem though touch wood.Front right cv joint leaking also and 4 discs needed.
4 shocks are approx ( small difference in price from front to back) 850 Euro + VAT for the 4.
Discs are approx 65 Euro + VAT each
I'd guess labour is about another Euro 1000 + VAT minimum
Happy days 
Nicks prices are about 50 % of that
Might have a look at the Koni FSD's ( 495 GBP per kit) or Spyros ( ?)

Definitely not a cheap fix then, even without the Discs. Doubt my shocks are gone TBH but def something related to what is in the links posted above,having read them, which quite frankly means the clunking noise could be 1 of 4 or 5 things. Neway it'l keep until next service, Disco due one in bout 6 - 7 weeks + it has DOE in July.
