I had it wired up without the standard side lamps as below, still does photo very well
I had a PM re the wiring, I found it easiest to hold the feed wires up against the inside of the lens unit and fit the bulb unit trapping the wires under the rubber seal. The ring feed wires are thin and do not appear to hold the rubber seal up.
NB delivery took nearly 3 weeks, but it was over xmas

Hi CG sorry to be a tit but how does the ring fit in the light
Do you have to warm the light up and separate from the lens( as is done when taking orange out of headlights) or can they be fitted easier than that.not got them yet but am planning ahead
Cheers

the reflector unit which is approx 60mm dia, fits into back of the lens unit, you just remove the adjustment screw and un-clip the two retaining lugs (poor description but you will see when you look).
This image shows the back of the lamp with the reflector unit removed - you can just see a corner of it in the top of the picture
You need hold the led ring at 90o to the lamp and insert it down the two cut outs, this is because the lamp unit has a slight narrowing taper back towards where the reflector is fitted.
You then rotate the ring and ease it back onto the tape where it sits as per the image.
I just held it in place with a few runs (like tack welds) of hot melt adhesive

I use a little blob of tipex before unscrewing.making sure its put where it won't get rubbed off and to let it dry
I can then return screws to the correct position
I've always used this method with adjusting screws

You carefully un-clip the adjuster head, so it all comes off and goes back together without moving anything - simples
