How To - Door Latch Replacement
There are a few ways of doing the door latches, but this way I find easiest
These pictures are from an O/S/R door. N/S/R is exactly the same.
O/S/F is very similar, and N/S/F has an extra screw holding the lock barrel in place, and an extra cable between the barrel and latch. Front doors also have an extra screw holding the door trim on, behind the LR badge
Start by removing the grab handle. 4 screws in behind here, and 1 at eaither side of the door pocket

Pull door trim outwards from the bottom edge, and work all the way around the entire trim, until completely loose from the door. There will still be the door cable, and wiring still attached.
The door cable can be a bit fiddly, as there is not much room to see what you are doing behind the trim.

You need to push in the little plastic hook, to release from the door trim

Once the door trim is off, you will be greeted by this

Remove the speaker, held on with 4 screws.

Remove the window switch from the door trim, and plug into the door, to enable the window to go up and down

Lower the window enough to see the white plastic clip, holding the glass into the regulator

Using a long screwdriver, push the rear part of the plastic clip away from the window, and lift the glass upwards at the same time. This plastic clip can be quite fragile, and easily broken. You cannot buy it seperately from the glass, so go easy with it

Now, undo the 4 bolts, and 2 nuts holding the window regulator into the door. Push inwards and slide over, out of the way

Unplug the electrical connector from the latch, and remove the 3 torx screws holding the latch into the door, leaving this space to work through

Working through that hole, you are looking to squeeze the 2 plastic clips of the smaller outer part of the handle. Can be quite fiddly as there is not a lot of space to work with. Squeeze them inwards, and pull the trim outwards

Remove the torx screw behind the trim, and remove the pull handle. To remove, pull towards the rear of the car, and gently pull outwards. Retrieve rubber seals

Next step is to remove the torx screw inside the door.

Push this plastic clip inwards, and slide the whole assembly forwards

The whole assembly can now be removed from the door

Remove the outer cable from the latch. As usual, a bit fiddly. All 4 clips need to be pulled away from the latch, while the cable is pulled away.

Same again with the internal cable. It should be cable tied onto the latch also

When refitting, ensure the internal cable is cable tied on again
There is almost no adjustment on the position of the latch. Just tighten up the 3 screws evenly
Refit the window regulator, and slide the glass downwards. It will hit the regulator. It just needs an extra push to locate into the plastic clip. If the glass lifts upwards, then it is not located correctly
The internal cable can be a bit fiddly to refit. You have to ensure the metal pin locates correctly into the handle before clipping the plastic part fully in
Always check operation before closing the door. Close the latch manually using a small screwdriver, and ensure it locks, and unlocks, and also opens using both inner and outer handles
A new latch is plug and play, and does not require coding to the car
