There do seem to be known brand (not BP) pads available at about the £75 a set mark though, not too bad. Steve does them: http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/bp-gdb183...2103-p.asp06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Are you going to have to replace the complete upright, the bit that carries the bearing, to fit these calipers? Or will the calipers mount the existing D3 caliper carry points?

No they fit straight on as the RRS uses the same yoke for the carrier FFRR SC 4.2

Fitted mine this weekend - it looks brilliant.
Couldn't get the bloody things to brake - seems I missed the inner bleed valve
Since I was running out of time - doing it with my brother 200 miles away from home, I had to take another car home.
But I look forward to picking it up next week.

You can never have too much braking. I bet they'll total transform the driving experience of your D3.
The last set of AP Racing brakes I bought cost £4.5k and that was in 2002.
Worth every penny, not least because they made the 540bhp even more useable as you could brake much later.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

What disks do you use? RRS or FFRR? Or are they both the same?15.5MY XS in Corris Grey with Black & Almond leather
