Over last 12k miles my D3 auto has averaged 23.91mpg according to Road Trip so this figure should be spot on as opposed to dash display which always suggests 27-28mpg.
You should ALL feel so lucky that you have diesel vs. having a petrol engine such as myself. I average about 10-14 MPG doing my daily driving. If I hit the open road and drive long uninterrupted distances I'll see high 16's.
