Who has owned their D3 the longest?
A few recent posts made me wonder who has owned a Discovery 3 the longest AND still owns that vehicle? I have seen a post from Moo that suggests he will be a contender.
To start the ball rolling - I took ownership of mine on 23rd May 2005. Now approaching 150,000 miles.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I'm not a contender by any means, a few months behind you Barn1e, owned since Nov '05, 63,000 miles. (i had use of another car for a few years, hence the lowish mileage), but is now my only vehicle, with NO warranty)

Moo, I thought you might have owned for longer than me. Well done, you take the prize thus far.
Having been through most service items one or more times and doing most things myself or with help of Geoff., long term ownership is relatively straight forward. Having access to another car takes the pressure off when jobs need doing.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
I ve had mine about a month longer than DN having got it early October 2005. First registered on 24th June 05 and had been a demonstrator at James Edwards so had lots of extras fitted including drop down dvd, roof rails, roof bars and premium carpets... Oooh I felt sooo posh at the time. There weren't too many on the road then.As you slide down the banister of life

I've only had mine 6months
However the medication keeps me mostly stable and when I wobble the Priory keeps a room ready for me
No where near as long as some - but one of the longest times I've ever owned a single car - 5 years this April - and currently I've done 110+K in it. Car has done 173K. Though not all of it (As SWMBO reminds me regularly!)Mark.

Mine was March 05, but traded it in for a D4 in 2013 - just under 8 years.

It would be great if we found the winner and Land Rover (Tata) thought - Let's send the winner a little gift as a thank you for their allegiance to the brand and model.
There again, they might think - Cheapskate, they should have traded in for a new D3/D4 at least three times over that period. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
