On an 06MY, remove the GRP transmission shield (6 x M6 bolts - 10mm socket ) the fuel filter is mounted on the O/S chassis rail by a pinch clamp, the connectors are the 'squeeze' type

1= Yellow connector
2= White connector
3= Large blue connector
4= Small blue connector

There is what looks like a fuel filter on top of the chassis rail next to the spare (passengers side) if not a fuel filter what is it?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Is the white cylinder on the upper RHS of this pic what you are referring to?
BTW this is a RRS chassis but the D3 also has this canister.

Only 16 quid
I purchased a fuel filter from my stealer to take on my Kimberley trip as a spare
and was charged A$147 (UK 60 pounds) for one
I had better check it, must be gold plated

SKP ,
You have the earlier type fuel filter like me and the cost with vat was around £67
The later types , think it's 07 onwards have a different filter and is alot cheaper I believe

The white part located on the RRS chassis is the suspension intake\exhaust muffler. Rear of the vehicle LH side.

It is just the exhaust muffler, the intake is inside the cabin behind the left hand panel. Air is taken from inside as air will always be cleaner and dryer.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I note that Skywriters icon shows his vehicle as a 2008.
Guys, isn't the fuel filter different on the later models?
