Crank bearings

We're do I start or stop ? My D3 as covered nearly 147000mls Thumbs Up I love this car & don't mind spending on preventive maintenance so after reading a few post of the big end bearings failing is it worth getting them changed or just keep driving & hoping they don't fail ? & what is the cost to get them replaced and if any one knows we're I can get them done many thanks

I am not sure replacing bearings is economic and bearings themselves may not be the cause of failure. I would say replace the oil pump and get a bit more oomph in the oil pressure including at engine start. But others may suggest something else.
