So, buy the car for £6200 but bank on it costing you the original £8000 asking price once you've had everything fixed or replaced.
Now compare a tatty base model with no service history to a top spec model with service history for only £3000 more.

I know where my money would go, black one every time not a huge difference in prices but from a resale point of view the HSE will wipe the floor with the other... might be biased though as I just bought a black HSE D3 but paid more than that for it....
Gary has been a long time supporter of the site, and never heard any issues on here with any vehicle he has sold or bought so must say something.

Did anyone else have a little chuckle at the fact that Gazellio's rather extensive list in a previous post lists a dashboard and four doors as 'features' of the vehicle?
Seriously, though, that D3 looks the dogs. It's very close to the one I've just bought - same age, same spec, almost the same colour (black vs Buckingham blue). I paid £4k more than that for mine, but to be fair it's got 45k fewer miles and had over £1k-worth of work done (belts, lower arms, brake pipes, full service) before I bought it to bring it right up to scratch.
