He just interrupted the maddening muzak to tell me there is no sign of his supervisor coming off the other call she is in, so he's trying someone else who is senior.
Senior ??? I've become more senior waiting ... 1hr 6mins now.

Perhaps his senior has a small child who answers their phone for them? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

It doesn't really get my goat up (I have an alarm for that) but most of my new sports and hiking socks are marked L and R. Is this not a decision I can make for myself?

If they're hiking socks specifically they're probably asymmetrical in the support fitted to the sock
I've a few pairs like that - you can see / feel the support bands. I see no ships........

An example, one of many, the local Barbers charged £9 for a haircut pre pandemic. Because of Covid and the measures introduced, namely screens, masks, enhanced cleaning, it went up to £14.
With the relaxation of this post pandemic, no screen, no masks etc. the price is still £14.
Customers used to paying the £14 see it as the new normal, but to my mind it’s profiteering. Many other firms have done exactly the same, is it any wonder the cost of living has skyrocketed?

How come people are incapable of reading a description? Extra long telescopic poles, in title. Description states poles extend from 2.25m to 3.5m.
Tuesday get an order for a set of extra long poles which was required by Friday. So let’s double check correct item ordered so phone up and leave voice message. Wednesday no response so another voice message left and email sent. Thursday no reply so items sent out to fulfill their delivery requirements.
Friday evening get an email these poles are too long! Can they send them back? Yes they can, but as mistake is theirs they will pay carriage back. However we have to stand the initial carriage plus time and cost of packing them, between 4 x 1” timber so they were not bent etc.
What a waste of time, effort and money all because someone could not read a description, listen to voice mail or respond to emails. There again to give them the benefit of the doubt they might have been in an electronic blackhole.

When did they previously increase their prices? Had it been £9 for several years?
And £14 for a skilled job done infrequently doesn't strike me as excessive. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

The prices have been steadily going up over the course of years, which is inevitable and you accept.
Personally, I think it’s excessive to put prices up 50% on the basis of paying for PPE, then keeping it there when that reason has gone.
My point is that if other firms are doing likewise, which they are, then it’s no wonder we are suffering from rampant inflation, which as you know effects those least able to with stand it.
Each to their own.

Disney+ increased their annual price from 69.99 to 89.99 just like that. Originally they were 59.99 for the first year.
