The British Medical association is very concerned about a no deal scenario
They have produced a briefing document, link below
Interesting reading for people who works in this area
Quote:
Since the EU referendum, the BMA has extensively explored the impact of Brexit on health services across the UK and Europe. We have produced a series of briefing papers which have highlighted the many ways in which the UK’s membership of the EU has benefited patients, the health workforce and health services, as well as the risks of leaving the EU without a deal in place.
Key points
With less than eight months to go until the UK leaves the EU, there is still too much uncertainty around the implications of Brexit for patients, doctors and health services.
A ‘no deal’ Brexit could have wide ranging, and potentially damaging consequences for health services across the UK and Europe, including on workforce and immigration, Northern Ireland, access to medicines, reciprocal health care, professional qualifications and patient safety, access to medical radioisotopes, medical research and rare diseases.
Now that more is known regarding the potential impact of Brexit, the BMA is calling for the public to have a final, informed say on the Brexit deal, including the option to reject the notion of a ‘no deal’ given the serious risks such an outcome carries.

I read the introduction to the document and it just contained questions. Questions we all know anyway.
I would have read further but felt that a union representing doctors was not likely to help me much so stopped.D3 07 SE - still going strong

Instead of reading the headlines, why not read the document?
Quoting from the foreword from the chairman, it even attempts to play down what it is trying to achieve:
"Some will say the BMA is scaremongering by warning of the dangers of a ‘no deal’ Brexit"
No sherlock
We might as well write a briefing paper relating to the walk to the pub highlighting the fact that a jumbo jet could crash on us whilst we are simultaneously fighting off a bear and there appears not to bea plan for this. Unless the government can show they have addressed these issues, we need another.... yawn...
