Breakdown recovery put jump pack on wrong way round
Car cut out I suspect blocked filter. But been member of breakdown recovery I thought may aswell call them out. The battery was bit low so he put his jump pack on. He only put it on wrong way round the battery sparked off really bad it actually welded his clip on to the battery. All lights in car started to flash then went off. The key was turned to ignition on at time of error. The car still won't start but now suspension has lowered itself and drivers side door lock doesn't lock with remote this door was open at time of accident. We're do I stand I don't actually no what damage he has done as I carnt get car started luckily I have him on my house cctv doing this school boy error.

Ring the breakdown people and see what they have to say, if they get funny tell them you have it on cctv!

Recovery are liable, sister had this happen to their Ford Ranger it burnt out the ECU, RAC picked up the bill for repairs and car hire, problem she had being it's 15 years old was finding a replacement ECU it took months. In fact I reckon it cost more in trying to track one down and hire costs than it would have been if they had simply replaced,==================================

What company was it?
Friend had major hassles with the AA who strapped his sports car down by the wishbones and bent the chassis mount points - they paid out in the end though

I would contact the bank as well to let them know there is an issue. They may be able to apply pressure as well. Yet 4 won't want to be involved with a company that breaks their customers cars!Upgrades so far - , rear ladder from prospeed , front and rear light guards G4 style roof rack and 4 lightforce spots on the rack! Xenon lights

Well I person from brittania phoned me this morning. Basically saying take it into land rover and get it diagnosed at my expense. Then go from there depending on there findings.

That's not good enough. They should be offering to take it to Land Rover for you, and getting it diagnosed at their expense! Richard

I would of thought they would have insurance against things like this especially as its a "recommendation" from the bank...........
I agree its up to the breakdown company to sort it out, perhaps if you were to call them and tell them your hiring a car at their expense as your vehicle is not running due to the incompetence of there staff they may sort things out a bit quicker (and send a copy them a copy of the video)......
Good luck

I tried to put my foot down but because the car was not running before breakdown recovery came. There dragging there feet saying it wasnt running anyways. But I have dropped the tank it was a faulty fuel pump. New one getting delivered today. then I will refit and go from there. What I've noticed at moment is all interior lights are flickering drivers door doesn't lock off remote key. And my diagnostic (generic) doesn't connect to canbus it did before.
