I took out the radio - the back-side has these connectors - this is our connector for AUX in on the base radio CD400.

Yes - this one works - I tested it. I am just wondering what is the smaller black cable connected to the same plug there (it is not going from the thick black/blue/red)- it comes as standalone. But assume - no one has the wiring/connector description for this so I will leave it there Smile

But you are right - these cables must go somewhere - but now when I am at the source - it doesnot matter anymore Smile Thanks.

I would remove the panel opposite the one you removed ...meaning if you removed the passenger one , then try the drivers one.

2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 GS Auto Stornoway Grey

Guys,
Just trying to get my head around this. I think that the aux wire is not to the rear of the GS console.
I took the blanking tray out and there were three sets of wires.
One the orange one I assume for the aux power socket, then two in green which I think are for heated seats, 1 being four wires, Red/Brown, Blue, Blue/pink & Black and the other Red/brown, green, Blue/pink and black.

Has anyone else a GS? is the aux connector hidden away from these? I had a root around and could not find any more wires. Sad

It looks like the GS now does not have the connector plug in the rear console????

I have a 2007 SE however with base radio only - I was also not able to locate the cables for AUX in the center armrest. Only for back-seat heating and 12v socket. I was not searching further (I am planning to buy ACM to be able to connect USB and Iphone).

But maybe they are hidden and ziptied below so you do not see them Smile

That was the case for example with the 12v socket in the back - the cable was there but it was carefully hidden and fixed with a tape Twisted Evil
