Ram mounts:
I've mounted an ASUS R2H in a Ram holder + short mount. They are a very solid mount, stays exactly where set.
Will fit beautifully in the centre recess if no factory fit nav, or as I have done, in front of the gear lever, below the Heater control panel. The Ram base plate wedges into the centre slot where the ashtray would go, as a perfect friction fit. Power supply readily available too!
The R2H is a frustrating piece of kit to set up, but has the advantage of a built in GPS receiver.
Bear in mind that the GPS signal is usually 'owned' by just ONE bit of sotware - so running MMap + Nav software sharing the signal requires something like GPSGATE (think thats right?) which I used to use - and works brilliantly. _________________ D3 number 3: 08 TDV6 SE Stormygrey /owlpacker
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead now disintegrated - but its got a full service history!
