Good stuff, great to see the pics Thumbs Up

Why are you stripping the turbo?
Is it just a precautionary re-build?
Do it now, rather than failing a few thousand miles after the rebuild.

Will the vehicle retain it's original number plate or will it be a Q plate [if they still do these]?

Yes the use of the horn and hand signals were needed when lifting the body off

The turbo rebuild is for peace of mind...At least i know its done and should be ok (Touch wood)

The car will retain its original plate as I have already notified the DVLA that the original chassis was beyond repair and couldnt be repaired to a high enough standard for the road again

I just need to show documents for destroying the damaged chassis

Great work, looks like you are getting on really quickly.

A bit O/T but here are a few pics of a DB7 my friend rebuilt last year. He enjoyed it so much he did a second one! (you can see it in the background of the last pic.)

Absolutely unnecessary quote removed

I managed to Kill my DB7 last year, looks very similar damage to your pictures but unfortunately the insurance company weren't willing to sell it back to me. Seeing those pictures brings a tear to my eye.

The chassis is now swapped over im just waiting for a L/H engine mount,Gearbox mount & the recon'd turbo to come now

I also need to replace the upper rear arm (Back) bushes as the bolt was siezed into the insert

Everything should be easy to replace in the future as everybolt now has copper grease on Very Happy

That is a great project Thumbs Up .

Did you paint the chassis while you had access, they don't seem to put any rust protection on anymore.

I was going to send the body to the bodyshop for repair while i was swapping chassis's but i think i am ahead of my timeplan thanks to my mate lee helping Thumbs Up

New bushes fitted to rear upper arms due to the bolts been siezed

New front anti roll bar links7

All oil's changed (including filters)

Turbo still stripped (Waiting for internals to come back from been balanced) Rebuild & fit
