LR Roof Bar - Rubber inserts |
|
Does anyone know if its possible to get replacement rubber inserts for the LR roof bars ?
I regularly use my LR roof bars with a roof-box and use the t-track connectors. i.e. I remove the rubber inserts and slot in t-track fasteners. The problem is that I get a whistling noise from the exposed t-track which is really obvious if I remove the roof box just leaving the roof bars in place.
I wanted to get hold of a second set so that I can cut them to accommodate the t-track fittings. This would also make the job of aligning the roof box much easier. Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond

Not sure i follow the first bit Martin.... is there a rubber cover that goes over the t-tack rail system? I bought rails for my D3 from my local LR dealer, but it never had covers.
Are you talking about the rails or the bars? If in doot, flat oot!!

Pretty sure its the cross bars, as accessories clamp to the cross bars not roof rails I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

I am referring to the crossbars and not the roofrails. ie, the bars crossing between the factory fitted rails.
The crossbars have a removable rubber strip running the length of them - if you peel this off then you reveal a t-track for fitting other accessories such as bike racks or roof-box etc.
Andy Thanks - I'll give Thule a call tomorrow. Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond
