I managed today to finally fit mine, and found a much quicker way......just remove the load restraining eyes and the trim panel underneath is fastened/secured by thas load ties and a few clips.
Mine took a little longer than it could have been because I have the Cargo Barrier, that also uses the forward load tie, so I could only lift the trim panel up, and not remove as it clearly looks like it will just pop out...
I then manipulated the storage device into the cubby hole, tight fit with the wiring, but finally got the thing in place.
20mins I reckon...............but IMHO if you have rear aircon, its more tricky as space is limited.
Fixing Bolts
No Trim needed to remove, just lift this panel gently after removing the load ties
Exactly the way I did it, but I was finished before I thought of photographs!
I found the carpet protruded inside the cubbyhole and got in the way. As I started to attack it with a Stanley knife I discovered that it was conveniently already perforated exactly where it needed to be cut. Just tears off.
Wonder why that bit is left on in the first place?A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

No cutting needed, carpet already shaped around the threaded holes
No Upper Trim Panels to Remove
No Seatbelt to unbolt - (how many have re-torqued these to correct rating)
Just 2 bolts on the Load eyes, and clips holding that trim..........

You like doing things the hard way then
On mine, I just did it more or less the same as Mac did but I separated the foam bit from the metal bracket and jiggled the bracket into place by pulling the side trim out a bit, bolted it down and then re-fitted the foam part once the rest was all in place
It's a very tight fit with the rear air-con but it does go.Clive

Nick, great price
Just motivated me to finally order that new rear bumper reflector (wife, snow, post, say no more), all wish me luck, cause I have rear air-con, and I know its going to be a pain to fit!
(will just take out all the side trim I think and do it the easy way!)
The "easy way" is the way MacLeod describes! I did it that way as well, although I made it a bit more difficult for myself by putting the brackets underneath the carpet. If you noticed the can of WD40, I used a spray of that in the bolt holes as they are tight to bolt up, but more important the can HOLDS UP the floor trim panel out of the way, so no need even to undo the Load Eye near the seats
I'm not sure that is a good idea MacLeod - they are tight because of the blue "Locktite" compound on the end of the bolt so that they don't work loose in the absence of any lock washers. If you get a rattle in 2 years you will know why.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill.
