Brought some of these OE shades from fellow member on here back at Xmas, put the very back side ones in a while back, but now that summers here, put the rest in - quite impressed at how much sun they keep out.

Also good for letting air in and keeping insects out.
They were bloomin expensive though.

Tis like the sunroof ones, I have to keep that closed with the amount of Insects committing suicide on the Expo Cowl keep dropping onto my head.
I have no need for the window ones as the HSE tints work well

I have just got myself a set, were £109 new, am very impressed and well worth the money in my opinion, having spent a small fortune on "stick-on" sunshades over the years. Can't recommend highly enough.

I bought one of the first available sets OE Sunshades for my first D3 in December 2005 ...they were only £55 then . Did the job at the time as I didn't want to fork out the £400 odd quid for tints. Used to make rear seat passengers feel a bit quiffy when looking through them for any length of time though 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Mine were £175 in 2007, The D3 I have now has tints so I don't really use them as sunshades but as protection for the tints when the boot is packed to the rafters.
With on the quiffy thing though, glad I never sat in back

Anyone got any pics of these? Are they mounted with suction cups or something more substantial?
Considering an aftermarket tint at the moment as TinyBiz gets it in the face constantly but if the LR ones are the type I've seen in say BMWs (a shade that pulls up like the roof ones and clips on a hinge at the top), then I'd much rather go with those me thinks...
Cheers

Can you open your sunroof with the expo rack? I have a G4 and the sunroof is disabled, I presumed this was 'cos it won't work due to lack of clearance.

Hi Biz, they ones on the "boot" side windows just slot securely into place, the tailgate ones have 2 clips to hold them in, and the middle-row side windows are held in place by two clips (each blind) which have a self-adhesive pad, mounted to the top of the window surround. No pics sorry, but I'm very pleased with mine, better that the roll-up type I had once in a Galaxy, they were always getting stuck or messed about with by the tiny squiblets!

I bought these http://www.palmautomotive.co.uk/4trucks/ac...ries_.html, someone told me they were from the OEM makers. No idea if that is true but they are very substantial and fit exactly as described above - excellent kit.
Was going to say pop over and have a look but then noticed you are a few miles away!!!

Cheers C , yep a little too long a trip home to justify for the moment
Tempted... Especially as they cost less than a tint of the second and third row and the tailgate glass...
Do I understand correctly this is what the kit includes? (7 pieces in total)
Cheers!

6 bits - one for each of the rear side windows, one for each of the middle row side windows and 2 to cover the glass section of the tailgate. Got mine from ebay, come under guise of palmautomotive or vanstyle, are the same thing
