Saying 'hello'
I have owned a couple of Defender's in the past among many other cars.
Now the proud owner of a silver Discovery 3 HSE (2006) - loving the comfort and capability. Does everything I could ever ask of it and more.
Been visiting and lurking the forum for a few weeks as I have picked up a problem (surprise surprise). Looking to tap into and contribute towards the wealth of knowledge on here.
Thanks.
Adam.

Hello everybody
After catching the Disco bug some 3 months ago last night I shook a deal on a Disco4 and I can't wait to get it this week.
2010 D4 HSE Nara Bronze, I would have preferred Arctic White but the deal was too good to be passed.
I'm on the hunt for some mods now!

Hi all
I usually am just a lurker on forums as most are far more knowledgeable than me. I have a 2005 D3 HSE 2.7TDV6. Found the forum from google when trying to work out what all the buttons in the car do.

Hie there I have a 2010 td4 3.0 v6 the turbo on the left side of the engine blew and I have replaced it, how ever soon after it was fitted while test driving the car restricted performance sign popped up and the car is now heavy on fuel and smokes badly, then all of a sudden water started pouring out from the pipes and lots of oil dripping down from the engine..Can I please get advise on what could be causing all these problems I'm facing?

Just thought I d say hello after watching the forum for a little while.
Bought a 2005 MY Discovery 3 2.7 manual last week.
Base spec 7 seater
Had a new clutch and DMF just before purchase.
Nice receipt in the folder for a JE remap.
It certainly goes better than my last TD5 did, still getting used to the bagged suspension after coils.
First 3 but I've had two TD5s, a 300TDI and two v8 D2s.
Forum helped me get a discount from the garage seller, they couldn't get the orange P (parking) light off and thought it needed a new module.
Did the low ratio reverse (etc) trick and cleared it straight away. Garage owner was a bit gutted after I told him how easy it was!
I'm now searching for a few small parts to replace damaged ones-rear air vents and a working (or upgraded CD player).
Really pleased with the vehicle considering I've owned over 100 various cars (and have 14 Audis, 9 of which are Quattro) and look forward to contributing to the site, really pleased to have found such a great resource.

Hi there, first time post and looking for some advice
I am starting to have intermittent problems with the blower (fan heater) on
my D3.
When I start it first thing the fan may not come on, or it comes on I start
the engine and it stops, but after a few miles it bursts into life, I cannot
find any consistency in this as some days it is fine.
I have tried to reseat the relay near the battery box, but no improvement.
Anyone had similar problems and know what the fix is.
Thanks in advance.

Hello! Not an owner yet but living in hope. To which end, I wondered whether anyone could recommend where I might find the honest advice and technical capacity to
- source a suitable Disco 3; thereafter
- sorting the most common gremlins to give it a decent chance of seeing me through four years in South Africa; and
- making some technical and cosmetic enhancements that collective experience suggests would be most worthwhile;
- in order to produce, at sensible cost, a vehicle that I could use with confidence on road and off from Cape Town to Maputo
cheers

Afternoon all
got the old girl a couple of months ago moving from a Jeep Grand Cherokee (2001) to Disco 3 (2005) HSE all I will say is no comparison! The last owner was the perfect bloke to have a vehicle before you , mapped, EGR valves blanked, all servicing done on time, gearbox mega flush done, anything that needed doing done with quality parts and had 200mils of 2 stroke per tank used for all the time he had owned it.
Had MOT yesterday and passed with no advisories so I am a very happy old man at the moment. looking forward to learning more from you guys as time goes on and you never know I may be able to contribute a bit too
So from Martin and Sue HELLO ALL
