Hi there,
Just joined this forum, so hi to evrb 😊 and glad to be here!
I have a Disco 3 of 2005 in very good shape but had to service the engine because it already got 380,000 km on it. One strange thing noticed though - when oil pump is removed, the crankshaft moves a bit back and forth even though the engine is working fine. Is that normal? I am somehow experienced in cars but have never seen smth like that on a healthy engine.

So, although not new to the Forum the world of Land Rovers, but have just (yesterday) picked up my first Discovery 4 (MY15)...
And I have already found a ton of useful information from this minefield encyclopeadia of Disco knowledge...
Some may know me from D2 LaLaLandies, now defected to the pipe ‘n slippers bandits...

Hi just a line to intro myself mikes the name ,have had disco3 se for 4 weeks live worcestershire so would like hear from members local /midlands, have other land rovers series 2a 1964 also under rebuild series 1 1951 ,So do a few land rovers shows etc ,Would like a bit of gentle green lane as within 50 miles of wales ,If there is a local area rep please contact me on all events etc ,also a amature radio 2E0ILX regards mike b

Are you selling the side steps? The wife has just scraped one of ours only had the car a week
Articandy - sorry not selling them - you wouldn't want them anyway as they came off in bits. Undersides were rotten and fixings had to be cut off. Must have been on since new I guess.

Moin, I'm Rolf, I live in Havighorst, Northern Germany between Hamburg and Lubeck. Since end of August we're owners of a D3 and really happy with.
It came with some mods of German LR dealer Matzker, we will go on with roof rack (to mount our roof tent), back ladder and hd front bumper.
We're awaiting our campwerk offroad trailer to be ready for family trips with our 3 children next spring time.
Looking forward to find lots of interesting posts, and giving some comments if helpful.

Hi all, new to the forum but not to LRs
Have owned few td5s, a Freelander and just got a v8 se after selling the previous v8 hse at 142k miles a year ago! Will soon add few pictures of the old and current one
Hi people, just a quick hello as I join the D4 owning fraternity this week.
I was directed here by the D2 Boys Club having previously owned a 300TDi and 2 x TD5's.
I pick up my D4 on Saturday and looking forward to experiencing the Green Oval once again having been a traitor to the rice burning fraternity for the past 14 months.
Looking to learn about the D4 beyond just the driving and willing to help out others should another pair of hands be required (and SWMBO allows me out on good behaviour )
