I've been looking at a kit on EBay for fixing an a bar but the nuts are missing and I believe there are meant to be sleeves? Anyone able to point me in a direction to purchase the kit I need? I'm going for the non winch a bar (as I believe there are two types) but may purchase a winch later so was thinking I would just cut out a section of the a bar to fit it, anyone done this?
Thanks

I'm also after the two plastic clips that hold the top of the a bar (plus the pins). Mine have snapped (previous owner)

I had seen these but saw there was no stock, hopefully they can source them still.

Has anyone had any experience fitting the A-Bar with the official landrover spot lights?
I've seen pictures where they are mounted on the top of the A-Bar but I'm concerned that wouldn't be all too sturdy. My thought was as I currently have them mounted on the bumper to cut away some of the A-Bar to fit around the existing mountings, can you see any problem with this?
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks Andy, that would be great if you can show a picture of them mounted and the fixings used, does it feel secure too, I wondered how it could as they are so heavy?
Cheers

They attach onto the A bar via 2 screws each side.
As long as the threads aren't stripped then they are pretty sturdy.
I had the bumper mounted brackets on my spotlights. I just filed them flat and cut holes for the screws.
The bracket attaches to the under side of the bar. Screw in place.
Slide spotlight onto bracket, do up small retaining screw and fit Land Rover badge to front.

So the screws go straight into the rubber which grips tight enough to hold? Are they quite long screws?
It just seems that the bumper mounting for the lamps with two enormous bolts is so solid that surely if I just cut out a bit of the A-Bar rubber I could still utilise these fixings. But it is kind of a one chance choice as once it is cut there's no going back!

In my gallery there's some pictures of the official LR lamps fitted using std fittings to the underside of the top of A-Bar - they're sturdy enough - the lamps themselves are prone to a bit of swivelling though ISTR (mine's been gone 7 years)

Thanks for the pictures Steve, I'd been trying to find that light fitting instructions PDF so that confirms the fitting. I just look at that compared to the great big bolts that fitsbthe lamps to the bumper and I'm wondering whether cutting around the A-Bar would give me the stronger I mounting...
