weight of the 4002 according to FR is 22kg, but I would add a bit for the brackets etc. For shipping, I would base the quote on 30kg per rack. The size of the rack is 2.2mx1.2m without packaging. The special is still on at R3k per rack. PM me if you want to go further with this. Didn't say it was for UK, 'cos I have a friend in Kenya that's also looking for a couple....
I don't know if that price includes the correct fittings for the LR rails, but will find out.
BTW, I recommend you buy and use the FR roof rails, as the LR ones are very flexible. If you don't intend to go on badly corrugated roads, this is no problem. The FR rails are about R2k if I remember correctly.
Just spoke to Hellmann, they will ship the 3 racks for R4k to Reading, but you would have to pay the VAT your side, and collect of course.

Real pleasure
Just one disclaimer, though:
If you guys break the stuff or if it doesn't meet your expectations for some reason, I don't wanna hear about it. In other words, please do your homework first, and make sure you give me the right shopping list, and I'll send the kit with pleasure.

Looks excellent. Any of you guys wish to pass on your LR expedition rack to a fellow forum member? Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue

Mine will be up for grabs to the highest bidder, it's better than your average one, comes complete with lamp mount brackets and is boarded out. Has got a few 'battle scars' but nothing that a tin of black paint won't sort out The End

I'll take your 'weak' LR rails off your hands (or should that be 'roof') as well, if you want to get the FR rail kit as Baben suggests.
Apparently TFC's rack has gone to DickGriff - I'd be happy to give you the same (plus extra for the rails too, of course). Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue

Baben,
Did you manage to measure / approximate the rack height above the roof?

TFC,
Purely out of interest at this point...
Is this a PTI clearance issue?
