Hi Ian, have a look at http://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Headlamp_Part_Numbers

As long as the D3 has air suspension, then you can upgrade.

No issues but make sure you get them correctly set so they don't blind oncoming drivers Thumbs Up

Just a curious question here. Why is air suspension a requirement? Didn't think suspension and headlights had much relation!

Hi Ian

You could simply install one of these kits and convert the lights you have now

http://www.hids4u.co.uk/h7-35w-slim-proplu...n-kit.html

In the gallery - antiglare there is a D3 with this kit on so you can see the difference. You need the H7R bulbs

Here is a link with discount for the kit plus the LED sidelights

Regards
Ian

If you fit the xenons ...they will flicker a couple of times when they first come on .

Most people dont worry about this ..but this can be stopped by adjusting the car config file to tell it it has xenons

I did both the dead 2005 disco before
and the 2007 D3 i have now
the flicker is only for a few moments on startup
its a simple plug n play job, the video i did on the a-bar fitting shows how to removed the headlight, its no oscar winning movie, but gets the info across

Also appears 9/10 of stopping is stopping in time

Ref the flicker on a retro fit - does anybody know how you'd get on with a headlamp flash, such as when giving way to someone?

They will work fine, I wouldnt worry about any flicker on startup. Mines no more noticable than my previous Ford Focus or the Volvos we have at work which all come with factory fitted xenons.

I fitted xenons to my D3 in March (Ebay bargain at £200) work great, I'd get some and not worry about any flicker.
