Those part numbers are for the adaptives.Plenty of debate as to whether they actually work on a base model or not. Hopefully someone will be along soon to confirm if they will indeed work.

If they were aligned correctly when they were last switched off from the Donor Vehicle, then by all accounts they will be fine (but of course just not adaptive). Thumbs Up

Jetpilot when i mean base model, i still have airsuspension and terrain response. just dont have a high spec D3 or back seats! Laughing
Bodsy think these maybe used or new but unsure! if new would there be any issues re alignment, and how might i get it sorted.

Sorry, when I say base I mean non HSE.AFAIK adaptives were only fitted to HSE`s with the cornering option.HTH.

As others have stated once they are aligned correctly on an MOT machine (technical team that) and checked yearly then they should be fine in a air-sus base vehicle. Thumbs Up

I know the adaptives move freely from side to side when not powered but as for adjustment the dealer does it for me so not sure of the detail sorry.

Adaptives work fine. Once aligned they seem to stay put.

The corner lights can be enabled to work when the indicators are operated too. Thumbs Up

Filo, I would be concerned with mounting the ballast under the lamp in that fashion - you have lost pretty much all IP rating of the headlight. Ok for normal use, but any kind of wet off road use could knacker them. Big Cry

yes i know i lost the IP rating, but i must say I only drive on tarmac, i don't do OR at all
moreover that was the only way i'd fit the big ballasts
if you have any tip or trick to fit those ballast inside the headlamp please let me know

Xenons (Fitted)

Morning all,

just taught id give a quick update here, was back home the weekend and i fitted the xenons. they were in mint order and as a few suggested, i get a 2/3 second flicker on start up, but all i can say is a that they are a vast improvement on the old halogens that i had originally. Now what im really here for is this:
in the section of the headlight where the Side-Light bulb is, there is another considerable size bulb in here, that seems to be skewed at an angle, presumably a cornering light, question is how do i know if it works or how do i get it to work?? im sure there is a simple explanation, but then again it is a LR so maybe not!!

Thanks,

Ian. Very Happy
