well - as I broke my inner plastic bit - take it easy especially if its cold - the plastic is more brittle.

You can carefull peal back the outer edges of the rubber cover - it sits wrapped around the inner white switch recess - which is itself held into the handle assembly via a pair of 'tabs' or one in my case !- as far I could tell this is the only water seal and it obviuosly isn't up to the job. ... anyway, the rubber moulding wraps around and below about 5mm of the plastic moulding - a small screw driver will help - once off you can see the problem inside.

The last few weeks of cold weather has seen my switch freeze up - I have cleaned it out three times (about weekly) - I am thinking of using some silicon gel to squeeze into the inner seal face of the rubber to try to reduce moisture ingress - I can't see how else to improve things. Without buying a new handle assembly.

Maybe warm it all up before you start - to make it a bit more supple !

do you have a pictures of under the cover ? got webasto working
