sorry for delay in response. The manufacturer finally decided to send new units instead of me sending them back to get upgraded - and they sent the version 6.2.
So for those of you that have bought the v2 units and are still having problems please can you get in touch and we can arrange to swap you over. it will need the other unit taking out - except:
camera, IR sensor, and i think toggle button should be same.
you need to change power leads over as its a different plug
Sorry for the hassle and delay but its all down to the way we are treated by the manufacturers and them sending us the units by snail post

Plan to replace would be we send you a new one via fedex and you would have yours boxed up ready to give back to fedex man

It says v2 in sku but it will not be a v2 it will be v6

Ok fitted the ver 6.2 unit and it works now without the can bus wires being connected and everything works as it should. toggle switch, and all menus work with the remote.
Had to change the video link loom as its not the same on the 6.2 as the version 2.
I also think the 6.2 version has abetter video output as the picture seems better from my vidoe sources as well as the rear view camera.

I bought a kit a couple of months ago and have yet to fit it.
So what have I got that won't work? D3 incl. genuine glass windscreen, front bi-focal headlights, full width rear bumper, self levelling washer bottle contents and audible 'tick tock' indicator stalk
911 GT3 had one [never]
R8 V12 just gone [past me]

If it was the same unit i got first then your remote won't work proper and the toggle switch will not switch between screens. The remote does not allow you setup the park lines...
You need to swap it for another unit via Ian..
