Chris,

I can't wait to see the pics! I have just asked my dealer if I can get armrests fitted to my S spec and I'm waiting for the response. With the S I presume you have cloth interior - did you get a cloth armrest or leather?

In my car I have the seat positioned so that my left elbow rests no the cubby box, but with the HSE that I had as a loan car recently I found a much more comfortable driving position with the seat much higher and using the armrest, so now I want armrests!

Something else with the S seats - does anyone else's manually controlled seat 'sink' over time? Mine seems to get lower and lower all on its own and it is really starting to annoy me. I'm not sure if I keep depressing the lever as I get in and out of the car or if it is just sinking on it's own!

Thanks
 Si

To be honist with you I think the dealer may do a runner its not a straight forward job, I have had to redo the whole mounting today as it got loose.

The LR mounting is welded to the seat frame and that means you need to take the seats out and take the covers off not something I wanted to do.

Basicly my mounting is almost the same and is welded together but is bolted to the seat frame and now seems to be doing the trick.

Heres a few pics of the armrest fitted.

As you see its the black leather one and it doesn't look to out of place.

It's a very tricky job and its not easy to do, not much room next to the cubby box, and you have to cut the seat cover to fit it. as I said in my first post is not a job for the faint hearted.

Good Job Chris! Only thing is it looks a bit lonely. They usually come in pairs so it will be pining for its mate! Shocked

Looks smart. Thumbs Up Once you're are fully practised I'll pop mine along.... Wink Surprised how well the black leather goes, actually. Thought it would look out of place, but it could be LR fitted. Well done.

Nice one.
look like a D2 armrest, am i wrong ?
is it an orginal D3 one, a standard kit or just a D2 part ?

Armrests was a mandatory option for me when i bought my D2s TD5 SE. it DOES change the overall comfort of the car.

i assume it is about the same in D3s.

Disco 3 armrest on an SE model

To Chris 200100,

I can not see those pictures of this modification can you make them visible please ??

I am searching to get some HSE armrests on my SE model.
until now I just have the armrests but the fitting bus can not be ordered separately from the seatframes. They cost 350€ each and that is too expensive
Can somebody show me how to mount those armrests ??? (they must be ajustable and fold away like the HSE ones of course)

Thanks a lot

Chris has long since moved on from D3 ownership and only very occasionally logs on here.

Hi Bruno ...welcome to the site Thumbs Up

If you look at the dates of the posts you will see that they are quite a few years old. Chris200100 hasn't been on here very much since then. He also found it a pig of a job to do as I recall, it may just be easier to replace the seats.
