the fault is now gone without a trace .. lost.. no where to be found.

I fired the FBH and let it run for 30 mins. with the vehicle @ sleep.
under the startup prossess I had a look @ the voltages. 11,4V, not sure if that is good or a sign that the battery is goosed. I started the vehicle with no issue. Drove to my local Vehicle equipment store and bought the Varta Silver Dynamic H3 battery. Drove home and put the new battery on the ctec charger. Battery is not fully charged as it seem. atleast the charger says so.

On this journy I had no issue with any fault no powerloss or any other "something is wrong" sounds.

I connected up the msv-2 and there where no fault codes in the Ems strangely.

So now im stuck with an airbag fault B1a00 System Internal Failure. Internal Electronic one.. Intermittent.

The fault will not clear. So I guess I have to look @ the wiring..

I have had voltages down to 11,7 v under start of the FBH at minus 13.

Battery 3 months old, Sonnak exide, so i dont think your battery is at fault.

After 15 minute run, stop for 3 hours, 15 minute run and it is now stood for the last 3 hours the FBH is reporting 12,9volts

and coolant is 26 celcius.

I still have the samme faultcode come up. I have replaced the maf sensor, the one by the airfilter.
I have checked the turbo actuator linkage and it moves freely.
This only happens when the engine is cold, and only once. I just put it in neutral and rev the enginge and then back to Drive. and all is fine, I have noticed that i can not engage the cruice control after the ESF message is cleared.

What should i check next?

Those are EXACTLY the same symptoms I was getting. In my case I also could not select any TR mode.

However since I changed the MAF sensor 5 months ago it never came back, and I've been through temperatures from -8C to 38C and everything in between.

So from now on it's all guess work from me Big Cry
Maybe give the MAP sensor a clean?
Check all air hoses for splits?
Check for cracked/leaking intercooler?

Good advice there nighthawk. only problem.. is cold outside and i cant get the car in any of my garages that i have here.

I have blanked the egrs and i cleaned the map sensor when i removed the egr's. and it was full of gunk. I havent looked at it since then. and thats 2 years ago. I see some oil builup on one of the air hoses to the turbo, where its coming from im not sure, but i can see it when i remove the wheel and the heat shields. I was hoping to replace all the air hoses, but i dont know who difficult it is to get to them all. Need to have a look for a how too guide here.

Hmm.. Tr modes.. I dont think i have tested using TR mode. ill check that next time this happens.
I havent tried to come to a stand still and then try and takeaway with the esf is in.

I would like to have the body lifted off so i can see and check everything. In fact its a dream i have. (crazy I know). So i envy everyone who has done this by them self. My luck tells me that i need a new turbo and new hoses, and when this is installed, the engine will fail, and i will crash and burn.

That would just be my typical luck kicking in. Wel.. i still have a hope and im livvin it day by day.
