Does anyone have a wiring diagram for spotlights? on previous cars i have taken a feed from the main beam +ve to a trigger a relay which has its own fused feed from the battery and installed a switch in the cabin. Is it the same on a D4 or is it a more complicated install?

Thanks

That is how a number of us have done it using a diode protected realy to stop spikes.

The diode is in the relay, make sure it goes in the right way round.. the diode stops back EMF.. Surprised

Diode goes across the relay coil terminals to prevent the back EMF generated by the collapsing magnetic field affecting the system the coil is connected to.

It must be fitted with reversed polarity under normal operation, so anode to negative, cathode to positive.

Thanks for the info Martin. Do you or anyone have a diagram? Out of interest, why is a disco more susceptible to this emf issue than other cars?

Love the look of the D3 and D3 with spots. Would the bracket fit the D3? Is there any bounce with them on? Could the bracket take bigger spots? LFs Xgt 240?
