Hey thanks all for your comments - replaced bulbs today that were almost black - no wonder they were giving no light out ! We have replaced them with some extreme brightness bulbs and the difference is amazing!!

of late last month - when someone on here described an HSE main beam upgrade to a d different OSRAM bulb that really did the business....very very bright white beams....I seam to recall they were OSRAMs
I just wonder which grade of bulbs these were ?..... as I have done most of the front of the D3 with LED's its only the main beam / flash ones that are still standard H8.
I have looked at Halfrauds & they have a whole range 20% more ...60% more 120% more in there own brand...& also sell similar Bosch ones.
What is legal as reagrds upgrading these to a brighter / whiter type ?....what will the plods stop you with ?
My recent purchases from Hids4u had a leaflet about various OSRAM products one being a head light bulb....do Hids4U supply these, which are legal to fit.
I have noticed that the main beams on my D3 do point a bit skyward & illuminate the trees etc...so when I do upgarde from Hids4u I will have to get adjusted. BREXIT - done properly.

Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

I have just fitted the Osram Night Breaker Gold limited edition, not sure what difference being gold on the point of the bulb makes, but I am stunned at the difference in light . I guess it does not take much to improve on the Halogens. I am aware they will not last as long but at the price they are worth a go before trying to get a second hand set if you can find them.
