Aux interference

Hi i'm the proud owner of a 2005 SE Discovery 3 and must say this forum is excellent. Ok enough brown noseing. I'm having a dilemma with what ipod connection to use a lot of people have mentioned trying the AUX in the rear of the centre consule, i have trie this but there is loads of interference and static and this noise is strill there when nothing is plugged in and i just switch it over to AUX.
I was looking at getting an ipod interface but am concerned that most of these play through AUX control that the interference static will still be there.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Suey

Known issue - the noise usually goes away when there is signal up the cable - so it shouldn't be noticed when the ipod is playing. Unplug the cable when not in use to get rid of the noise.
