Removal looks straightforward enough.

I had this issue on mine, garage repaired by putting spot of weld on shaft to provide drive to steeringangle sensor again. It wasn't the sensor at fault but the column.

Its hardly ever worth changing the sensor assemblies over, they rarely fail, whereas the dog on the steering shaft fails on every car sooner or later! I have used epoxy glue to fix several D3's where the reference is slipping, none has failed again, and it saves taking the UJ apart, etc. etc. Certainly keeps fault messages off.
I don't know why LR designed the dog to slip so easily, perhaps they thought that D3 owners would not be able to turn the steering wheel if the sensor seized? If I had a jammed steering wheel, I'd be sure of smashing everything in sight to get it to turn again, comes from driving a Srs.III

If you didn't bring your dinner up climbing under the pedals, you're not doing it right!!!
It'll stick, just as long as someone got you out of there in time to stop yourself from adhering to the column

Looks like a cheaper solution than mine. As I don't have any tech knowledge or anyone local who does, I went down the garage route. It was covered by warranty so all sorted. But it would of cost me 1K if I had to pay.HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Woody, no worries. It wasnt a dig at you or anyone. It's just a fact of life there isn't anyone I know local to Brizzle with the kit or knowledge.
But as you say it was covered under warranty so only the excess to pay. Plus when I come to sell its something else to blag with, new steering column. Just need to get my in gear and get it atvertisedHONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE
