Robbie - perhaps I've got it wrong, but I'm sure that there is more than one person on the forum who had claimed that they had a 255bhp 6 speed and that they were produced in the last two months of MY2011.
I can't find the relevant posts though, so maybe I imagined it

I'd never say never given that JLR seemed to go a bit random over this period, but the extra power and torque was launched for MY12.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I had forgotten about this, just to add to the confusion, or perhaps to confirm how useless my dealer is (or more likely me for that matter).
Having seen a similar thread on this previously I believe mine is a 245bhp non PDF (F in the vin number) TDV6, but when I went to purchase oil, told the dealer what it was for, but even after questioning it with them they insist mine does have a PDF even after entering the vin on their computer.
Their reasoning for this is it gave a part number for the DPF when they looked up my vin number. I just got a look here you don't know what you are talking about sort of look when I tried to explain about the F in the vin number, so did as I was told and bought the offered oil for a DPF equipped car.
I never ended up using it (so far), but I think I have seen on here that using DPF suitable oil without one is ok, but not the other way around.Andy

Oil for DPF D4s works just fine in non-DPF vehicles, although it does cost a little more. Quite a few main dealers bung in DPF-friendly oil into all D3s / D4s just to avoid expensive mistakes and to reduce the number of oils held in the workshop.

The problem turned out to be that JLR did not update the DVLA in time so the late 2010 MY11 cars had TDV6 on the V5C. Pete at LRCS gave me a letter confirming the correct designation but to be honest it made no difference at trade-in time as the designation was never queried.2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT

If you don't have a dpf you can save your self a few pennies and protect your engine better. Low saps dpf friendly oils have some additives removed to prevent blocking the dpf. This can give the valve train and other components a hard life. Sometimes cheaper is better 😊D4
