Anyone fitted the lr007555 exhaust kit ?
HI there, just bought the alternative front bumper and rear under apron with exhaust exits built in and wondered if anyone has fitted the additional exhaust kit that stops the plastic rear apron melting. It looks like you have to cut the existing pipes to fit the new ones.
On a good note - bought the kit from the local stealers pretty cheap - cheaper than fleabay !!
thanks

Re: Anyone fitted the lr007555 exhaust kit ?
HI' I have exact the same problem, fitted the rear bumper undertray moulding kit with twin exhaust finishers, and now the org. ream bumber i melting in the corner. I realised that the Exhaust Muffler Kit - TDV6 LR007555 + Muffler, Lh, V6 Diesel LR007553 Muffler, Rh, V6 Diesel LR007551 is needed. What is that really, cant find any picture? Anyone who can tell me if I need to modify the original exhaust pipes, what is these 3 parts? Any picture?
Any help is welcome......

I might update my method, and cut some of the tailpipe off, that would allow more of a bend in the flexi pipe.
It's currently pointing out towards the square trims, which works fine but obviously is a bit smokier out the rear window when you put your foot down.. by making the flexi pipe angle down more, it'll be neater and produce less swirling soot

Hi'
Thank you very must. I have ordered some flexi pipe my self, but can only get hold of 55 mm. I will see what I can work out.
I anticipate, from the picture, that you have bended it out through to squared exhaust muffler ? I will try to see if I can get it to point down. Not a lot of space there.
Do you know what the original kit contains, I and do I have to cut the pipe?

Original kit contained 2 whole new back boxes with angled tailpipes to clear the trim I think.
Yes the flexi pipe angles the gases out the square exhaust trims in the kit. The 54mm (internal dim) was bang on and a very snug fit. 55mm may require some exhaust putty to hold it tight.57 RRS TDV8

Warning:
Do Not Run and Undertray Kit Without an Exhaust Mod !!!
I did apply another type of modification, but it didn't work and I had started to get some damage.
[Magnashield Heat Tape - I lined the undertray & bumper - but no difference]
Firstly, the corners of the undertray were coming away a little.
On inspection the foam adhesive strip had frazzled and a gap was appearing.
To inspect further, I attempted to take off the removable panel, but it wouldn't release from the studs.
Eventually I had to yank it and found the tips of most of the stud had melted and therefore wouldn't easily release from the locating points.
In fact one of the stud locating points has snapped off due to this.
When the cover was eventually removed there was thick soot all over the panel and on the towbar electrics.
I've also just realised that my now intermittently working rear parking sensors will be because of heat damage.
I'll need to remove the rear bumper to inspect before seeing if it's the wiring and/or sensors that have melted.
Thankfully though I've just been towing and those electrics were working ok, but I'll need to check out the condition of the loom when the bumper is off.
So extra parts will no doubt be needed and fitted as required.
Needless to say I learnt my lesson and purchased the proper exhaust kit from TLO and had that fitted at my local garage and I now have no heat issues.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Hi' Thank you for you reply. The same happen to my Disco3.
Whar is included in the proper exhaust kit? Do you need to cut the original pipers ?
The kit is a set of back boxes with a longer tailpipe.
The original exhaust is cut around the rear axle area.
Joining clamps are included in the kit.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.
