ok will try dif photos out

seat pads pig of a job - have to take the covers off. i did one myself - the base then let my mechanic who is also a bloody good trimmer - fit the rest. can be done DIY but you need a tool to fasten the ring pins back onto wires - and count on some cut finger tips Laughing

seat back be careful if you have the side airbags

TLO provided the seat mats from memory around 70 pound each and you need 4 of them Confused

the controller comes in black and a brown trim colour - i needed to swap the cover over from my old one as i got the older brown controller - but easy enough to do. also easy enough to make power connection to the power feed to the controller - assuming the harness isnt there. Mine wasnt but my car was to head for a warm country i am told - so maybe they decided not to fit. but i know others with uk spec base model had no harness from foot well to hvac controller

now added the pics another member sent me 3 years ago now thanks to Matthias

here are some notes from when i was fitting and picking his brain:

It would seem there is only one power feed to the heating element so it must change the voltage or pulse the feed to change output from high and low setting.

where did you take the 25 amp power supplies from - to terminals 1 and 2?

it would appear that temperature sensing loop has a common earth - and it looks like this connects to another part of the hvac control unit - part 169 terminal 13. that must mean you had to find terminal 13 and add this cable - can you recall which on of the plugs it was at the back of the unit? - dont have it in front of me so maybe its obvious when i see

reply:
I didn’t have the benefit of the wiring diagrams when I did this, so don’t get too hung up about that. I simply bought the Hi-SPEC loom from TLO (Nick at Yeovil LR) and then striped out the heated seats cables from it working back from the HVAC plug on the HI-SPEC loom to the connectors in the foot wells, then I removed the cables/pins from the new loom’s footwell connections and fitted them into the existing connectors in the car. – I would have taken note of any soldered joints and connected into the same points in the vehicle’s existing loom.

get a copy of the wiring loom and this will help you! from memory the cables from the seats go to the right hand foot well (on a LHD drive car) visible once you remove the cover

wiring diagram added to gallery - thanks to BBS

Yes, they are the fedd to the heating pads.
and yes, connect a 12v charger and you see soon enough the heat will slowly rise.. but dont have them on for too long. just enough that you feel the heat from it with your hands (without gloves on). Have a look @ my pic. look for that black cable.. thats ve- and the blue with white stripe colored wire?? ve+ cant see exact in my pic there.

this is how it looked like on my vehicle

A better view of the wires commin from the heated pads:

Better view of the multiconnector under the seat:

This is how many Amperes my vehicle drew while upgrading some ecus:

Right. Are you saying that the two pins where the Multimeter is connected are the feed to the seat pads? And, if you use a battery charger you can feed those pins with 12V and the pads heat up?

What else is needed? I'll need a replacement HVAC panel with the seat heater buttons on. What else? Is there any new wiring needed behind the dash?

And someone (Geoff.) with a Faultmate.

Answer to my self:
I does not - YML500800 is a Loom on/under Drivers seat - From C0751 to Memory Module. Rolling Eyes

Now.. I know where are Signals(Wires) going from Seat Connector (C0751):

Is it possible, to lay Wires missing Wires (kind a home-made Loom)? Need to connect Seat(C0253L) with C0560L, C0047L, C0463L and C0459L...

On My Seat Connector there are 2 contacts missing / going to Unit-Steering column (D288) - should i expect problems?
