With the D2BOYS 5% discount code it is only £76 delivered.

It is a no-brainer for a D3.

My first post but regular reader of posts.

My battery is the original fitted at the factory and now 8.5 years old. HDC warning appearing on instrument cluster. Searched on here for advice and ordered Exide Premium 017TE from Tanya. Arrived lunch time next day. Fitted and warning no longer showing.

Excellent service from Tanya. Thumbs Up

So after a ctek Msx 10 to recon an old battery which looked like it had worked. First real cold night and hard frost. The national Lunna alarm is going off. It seems it hasn't done the trick. Que the second battery (YT) adding and the engine starts with a bit of a struggle and runs rough for 20secs.

New battery purchased from Tayna.

Hope the glow plugs aren't fudged as well. We shall see if a new battery sorts it.

At least the fbh worked.

Just ordered mine from Tayna too. The D2BOYS discount code didn't work for me, but it was cheaper than anywhere else regardless, so no worries!
This will replace my original LR battery on the Disco 3 which is now 10 years old (albeit low mileage)!!!
I'm hoping that it also cures the "HDC fault" message which has starting appearing on start-up over the last few cold days (why couldn't LR just pop up a message saying "Your battery might need replacing"?) Rolling Eyes

Any more prospective purchasers from Tayna might like to try this code:

FACEBOOK45

It worked for me a few weeks ago when I bought an Exide Premium 017TE from them. Thumbs Up

Still a very good price even without any kind of discount, mind. Bow down

So exide fitted. Had a bit of a panic when the battery clamp bolt was too short and then realised I had the bolts the wrong way around. Rolling with laughter Embarassed Rolling with laughter

Delivery plugs removed from battery.

One question; I had a breather pipe on my old battery (yassama elite) is this normal and do I need to refit this and does it go in the travel plug breather hole?

All other batteries I have fitted have never had this pipe.

Thanks.

Happy new year.

Yes, you should refit the breather in the hole left by removing the front most plug. If you removed two of the travel plugs, you might want to refit the one at the rear of the engine bay (on the opposite end to the breather).

Thanks Steve.

Only removed the red plug on the positive terminal end. Breather pipe put back on.

I fitted the exact same battery 2 weeks ago. So far all is well. It cranks over much faster, more importantly the HDC Failure warning hasn't shown up since. My old Battery was stamped 0905 on the terminal so I'm guessing it was the original. Not bad really at nearly 10 years old.

Just installed my new Exide Premium 017 and removed both the red and black travel plugs. There is no breather pipe.

Do I need to have a breather pipe and should I only remove the red travel plug?
