Rite guys a quick update, well quick is taking the pee to be honest, 3 months it's been at certain garage which I'm ready to grind into the ground!. I helped to remove the engine with the body on which wasn't as bad as I thought, a few hard to get to bolts on the turbo, other than that all was ok, I then returned home and my mechanic if that's what you can call him stripped the engine into bits, the head gasket had blown, I had to get the injectors removed on the blown side as all three were blowing and one badly leaking fuel which had carboned the whole block up and seized the injectors in. He found the gasket blown on the leaking cylinder. Probably overheated. I then made the decision to have the whole engine rebuilt, all new parts, block honed, new bearings, both heads fully rebuilt and skimmed, there was no damage found to the blocks but better safe than sorry. At the minute I'm looking at £2600 fully rebuilt and installed. After this is all done I have one last job, replace the epb. I have brought a second hand unit, does anyone know how to undo the cable on the piston in the unit as this one has been cut off. Thanks again

Help needed again please, my mechanic who rebuilds engines all the time says the piston rings won't fit, he's saying they should be 1.75.3.3 and the ones my 2.2.2. The part number on the piston is 22.04.8165e. Can anyone help as the engines at a stand still until I can get he rite rings.

Going by your location, and his location, it is likely not the same person. He is an hour and a bit away from you I reckon.
