Not to bothered about MPG, anyone who has MPG concerns shouldn't have a Land Rover. I tow the Tin Tent and lots of short runs during the week, 3 to 4 miles at best, so it's not going to be good. Permagrin out weighs mpg.

After my remap a year ago, and then a new HPFP, mine went up from 28 to 32 on the onboard computer thingy. I don't know what it really is though - I started using Fuelly, but I only put in one fill up and then completely forgot. 8)

Mine does a lot of short runs interspersed with longer runs towing a heavy caravan or trailer, the trip computer shows around 21mpg.

On a run to a RTV I got up to 36mpg on screen. By the time I got hom it said 33mpg.
At the same time I did a neck to neck test which showed that I actually got 28mpg.
The trip computer tells lies.

Using app roadtrip to get the real figures.
Average now is 14,06 l/100km = 20,09 mpg
On board shows around 12 l/100km = 23,5 mpg. What a lier.

I'm usually happy with double figures. LPG is cheap enough not to care.

My Disco will average 28mpg on all round driving. Recent trip across to Poland driving at 80mph for most of the way averaged 33mpg.
I find it depends on the type of fuel. For long distance and when I can afford it I use Shell Nitro+ fuel which helps with performance and fuel consumption.
I have always noticed this on my diesel cars in the past, the better quality fuel the better me thinks.
Also not allowing the fuel tank to get too low also helps to maintain fuel consumption.
