Hi guys
After some advice on Saturday my wifes 2007 discovery 3 tdv6 cut out while she was doing around 50mph on a dual carriageway, luckily she managed to coast it to a layby till the aa came to recover it.
So today I have taken the cambelt cover off and the oil pump housing has failed.
I have read on other posts that this is possibly a fault that lies with land rover.
I had the belt replaced last year around 5k ago and the housing looked fine.
Where do I go from here?
Who do I contact in regards to a possible warranty claim?
As the car has 140000 miles on it would it still be covered under a warranty from land rover.
thanks
Jason

Get yourself a cup of tea (or a flask!) then search for Timing Belt Broke
Theres a couple of threads to read through, or go towards the end of the pages and see my last update and recommendation.
Then get in contact with Pete@Landrover Bodsys Brake Bible

My Indie has bought/ repaired a few D3's where this has happened and they have been fine with a new oil pump fitted.
The engine may be ok.

Another question why would the crank seemed to be seized?
usually when a timing belt fails the valves bend but you can usually turn the crank but it's seized solid

If it additionally broke the crank, or if as part of ten failure, the shells took a shock and rotated, that could seize it I guess. Bodsys Brake Bible

Just read Disco Mikes engine swap and it's just the sump that needs swapping by the looks of things
