just to keep yer posted on where we are with this, he's booked in to Bristol Transmissions next week as they have a pump and oe software, also coz he's being flushed he will use around 11 litres of transmission fluid but TLO can only supply at £18.26 (inc) per litre!!
They do alot of Jags etc however they are keen to get me in as this will be the first Disco 3, will also update me software foc as a good will gesture, labour charges £60.00 ph so just a wee bit cheaper than TLO but of course they are alot cheaper on the transmission fluid, less than £10 per litre (they buy it as a 209 ltr drum which is the only size that Shell do, as I rang them )
Given our mileage (265,000) TLO also confirmed that it is more likely to be "lubricant degregation" rather that a mapping issue with the ECU.
Will also flush the cooler and transfer box at the same time and a group buy.

Why are Bristol Trans doing a software update?
I'd have thought only Land Rover should do this.
What are they upgrading?
out of warranty, just updates regards the autobox, as you know the box gets used to the driving style, as its ex-highways for 190k, might be worth having hime reset more to our style of driving with an enclosed trailer

Well, if it works for yours, then I will need to get mine flushed too.
