My D3 is still at the Stealers with this fault. 7 days now! At least they agree it has a fault....!!
Apparently they have changed a part in the gearbox but it hasn't cured it so it is now waiting more parts. I might get it back by the weekend so I will keep you updated as to what parts they have changed...!!

Mine is getting worse - it HAS to be something in the Auto box as we seem to have tried everything else.
So the proposed solution is to flush the AUTO box out TWICE with ATF???

I didn't, they couldn't confirm that this would be the cure.
So they did nothing!!
Very annoying, as I gave them all the detail of the fault and asked them to discuss with LR prior to my D3 going in.
So left the issue with them to find out more and get back to me. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

My shudders seem to have almost gone away since TFC reset the adaptive memory. I can't say its gone completely, there is sometimes a hint of it on a gear change, but its not annoying anymore. It may be worth one of you getting a dealer or someone with Autologic to try resetting your adaptive memory to backup my experience.
AFAIK it can only be reset with IDS or Autologic, a battery disconnect does not clear it.

Have spoken to the tech guy at Stealers this afternoon.........
They have ordered 2 new drive shafts and also will do an oil and filter change on the gearbox.
I have also requested they update the gearbox software to the latest version which they have reluctantly agreed to do. They say the software update is only really to cure issues with RRS clunking which is a major issue apparently??
They have said it is a difficult fault to diagnose and they are changing the driveshafts although there is very little wear in them. I think it is a case of hope and see....!

I thought that was to do with the gold and other Bling jangling together!
I understand that RRS types stereotypically wear such Bling I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Unfortunately, doing multiple changes, like that, will not allow the source of the problem to be identified (if it's fixed).
On the other hand, I guess that you don't really care, as long as it's fixed. The Bearded Dragon

I wish we knew for sure whether the flush and fluid change would sort the problem!

I got my D3 back from the Stealers at long last!! Went for a test drive with the mechanic who fixed it, very nice young man, who was very honest for a change, for a Main Stealer employee!! He confessed that the fault had him stumped for a while but he does seem to have fixed it....
Suppose you all want to know how??
He changed front ball joints that were worn and a rear offside tie bar that was badly worn. Why the tie bar didn't come up on the MOT he doesn't know? This didn't fix it....
He then changed nearside front driveshaft and updated the gearbox software and that has cured the problem. There was some wear in the driveshaft and he is convinced this was the main cause of the juddering. I have only done 40 miles since getting it back so the Jury is still out, but I haven't been able to provoke the juddering yet. Fingers crossed it is fixed now.
The gearbox update has made it hold onto 6th gear at 50mph now, although it still wont change up to 6th below 55mph unless you use Command Shift at 50mph. It seems to lock up better also as it now revs at 1300rpm at 50mph when it used to be 1500rpm. Although it's still too soon to say but it also seems to have lost that lag when pulling out of junctions, that awful moment when nothing happens and you are committed to moving with a truck getting closer than is comfortable!!!
So for the moment Permagrin reinstalled........
