VeryDisco,
I've got to admit that yours is probably one of the best mods I've seen for a long time.
Not too sure what it'd look like in 'real-life', but I'm surprised no-one else has thought of doing it before.
Looks very cool..... 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

hola, muchas gracias Paul
Indeed, i have thought about it back in ...2004 !
And I am sure many others have. One must admit that the orange bit is part of the D3 design itself though.
Remember that in 2004 no other car still had amber trim, still the D3 looked the part with his. 8)
One just need to dare to do so. (expecialy on Xenons... )
Technicaly it is not diffecult. But do not rush, and if you can, get a mate to give you a hand and keep the beers in the fridge for an extra hour.
total time took a good hour, the second one should take 20 minutes max.
it is just physicaly demanding as even when warm, the black glue is still really ... glueing !
I hope this inspires many others and look forward to see other mods based on this, starting the LED way, color coding or mat black way.
Who knows !
I am sure we will see a couple of D3 modified at Billing next month, then even more at Peterborough (Remember you've seen it on Disco3.CO.UK copycats ! )l=Oo\________/oO=l l:Ool======loO:l

Salut Fred,
Thing is, the LEDs, should you wish to put them such as the 2010 D4, can not be fit where you'd want them, on the "spine" of the headlamp, following the D4 style.
Though, one could put it under it, in an horizontal line.
Then again this is becoming a bit like RRsport.co.uk ...

DG, this is an actual photo, not a photoshoped one. So yes one can achieve this pretty easily, indeed.

superb mod.........this world need people like you.figuring it out!!!!
the best feeling:getting airborne.
Our next challenge is to locate a suitable, clear diffuser/fresnel lens to replace the amber one that gets removed in this mod. Anyone think of a donor vehicle that might have large, flat and clear indicators so our friend VeryDisco can raid his local breakers yard? Without the fresnel the light dispersal for the indicator is going to be very poor and will attract attention from plod/VOSA and could cause problems at MOT time.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
could a round type (NAS defender) be fitted within the clear cover ?
