My D4 is quieter when it’s cold. It’s a bit more clattery when warm, but that’s what happens when oil gets warm, it thins.
There are so many things to worry about! If it’s running well I’d personally just turn the radio up!

That will be a 6 speed gearbox, same as D3. 3.0 engine, no oil pump issues, but can still snap a crank!
Better interior, some say not as good as D3 because it’s too posh.
Updated sat nav.
Maybe better brakes and suspension.
Same maintenance issues.

Pop it over to AJD Off Road at Hoddesdon before you go away if youre really worried. Martin and Andy know what they're on about.

I had a "Tour de Stretford" yesterday because it knows sooooo very little about roads changed in last 6 years or so.

Can’t compare to D3 as haven’t owned one, but I think they are great. Good value for money.
I’ve done 500 miles in mine today, another 200-300 tomorrow!

Both seem to have they're individual positives / negatives as well as a few shared ones. More poke from the D4 with a few extra toys, but much is shared with the D3. D4 rear timing belt is not for the faint hearted!!
Don't loose faith in your D3 just yet!
