As she stands today after a bit of TLC .
Finally getting the D3 where I am pretty much happy with her as an overall package, I have been adding bits and bats as and when I get the time and she is starting to shape up
I did the headlight and grill thing last year , was going to go black on the grill bars but pleased I didn't as I think it ties in great with the Mantec sump guard.
The Stornaway arches seem to instantly bring the D3 up to date and have a big impact on the overall look, plus I was getting off with the arches requiring so much attention when in black.
Very happy with the tree sliders as they look tough/purposeful but quite stealth at the same time, unlike the sidesteps I removed which were totally in your face and seemd to change the whole profile of the lower section of the vehicle.
I bought the newer style 19's off a member a few months ago ( thanks scott ) and got my mate to paint them in a great colour, depending on the light they are either a light gunmetal, or a dark silver, it's actually a Renault Clio RS wheel colour, I really like the contrast of not looking like the body colour but not being so dark as to disappear into the arches.
They are shod with Wrangler Duratracs which I got last year fromAJS, very happy with them, great ride on the road, no intrusive noise as such, and way quieter than the GG AT's I had on another D3.
I also fitted some H&R wheel spacers, 30mm front, 25 mm rear, just to fill the arches and change the stance that little bit to make her look a little less, top heavy , so to speak.
Still plotting a few other bits , but getting near enough to where I am happy with her overall.
Excuse the quality of the pics. Like many things, it's not my forte

Oops,
Almost forgot one of the best additions recently is my Dog Trans dog box and drawer units .
It means all the general clutter you carry around neatly fits in there, Coleman stove, cups, coffee tea , wayfarer bagged food, tow strops, shackles and tools etc, so can stop for a cuppa and so e food whenever , wherever

Looking very nice 8) I've gone the other way, colour coded front and rear bumpers and left the arches black. Do the spacers have any effect on handling and are they straightforward to fit?

Nice ....a little too far north with the door protectors though if I'm honest 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Thanks people, modifying things is always a personal thing, some like , some don't, but subtle Tweeks always work better than full on, it's great when something isn't noticed the first time, or has to be pointed out as it just wasn't that obvious 8)
@ DG , I purposefully fitted them there , having looked down the side of the car, they are fitted fitted at the proudest point, don't getting he logic of fitting lower down, with body panel still flaring out above, plus I was anal enough to park various " normal " cars next to it, to see where contact would occur
If you take into account the profile of a rear door with the radius of the rear wheel shaped into them, the contact point is usually pretty high up the cars door
@ Johnny , simple as removing the wheel, fit the spacer, refit the wheel, job done.
In theory widening the track on anything has positives and negatives, better handling, more stability in corners, but potentially more tramlining depending on the state of the surface, wheelings, camber etc, and maybe or maybe ( depending in who you talk to) more stress on the wheel bearings.
With regards the handling , I have noticed no negatives at all, it weighs 2.7 t , so it's no lightweight sports car that will get pulled and tugged off line.
Just my opinion, but it does look much more solid, purposeful with them fitted Procrastination is the thief of time!!

That is one of the best looking Disco's I've ever seen! Gorgeous and looks so purposeful!
Well done! Proper!
Mine is an 06 model I've had since new, much loved but looking very tired.(worked very hard all its life and now is the time for a makeover).
This year is the year of upgrades.
I love the look of yours. Well done Original Owner.
