They were the SE spec rims on a 2011 D4.
You will probably find that most typical D4 owners with GT AT's wont have any issues, but if you spend allot of your time offroad in sandy soil, frequent towing of heavy trailers, aggressive driving style etc, will almost certainly wear our the rims at a faster rate.
Tyre pressures are usually 35 front and 40 rear.
So 18" rims, that's interesting. I'd have thought the slightly deeper sidewall on 18"s, would if anything, make them less vulnerable than 19"s.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Wow!
Which rims seem to be the most affected on the 18" (with how many spokes), and on the 19" (how many spokes)?

Found this today, took disco in for 4 new tyres. Changing from Gg At's to Road tyres and inside rims are worn down so thin the garage was frightened to pop the tyres on. I put the worse ones on the back but will have to find another set asap. Spoke to Steve Norman and he said he also recently replaced 4 wheels with same problem.

Just had some new GG AT's fitted to my 19" wheels today and this is the third set of tyres to go on these wheel rims. I do a lot of off-roading with the car and made sure I and my tyre guy checked the rims carefully when the tyres were off for any signs of wear and I'm happy to report they are all fine and no problems Cheers Ian

Not had the D3 long so I can’t say what conditions my 19” HSE rims are in yet but a breaker showed me a pile of worn rims but made the interesting point that he sees one or two on a regular basis so is this related to pressure or tracking as all 4 should be affected equally. My tyres are wearing on the inside edge so is this loading the inside edge of the tyre / rim?

just another thought . . . . it can’t be the tire rotating on the rim because the outside edge does not wear at all
