Have you got any rolling before/after maps to show the difference once chipped?

I would like to take a chipped car off road as the powerband looks as if it comes in too high too early?

I thought peak torque was at 1900 rpm in DS3? The graph (if I am reading it right, shows it at about 3250rpm?

Yes, that is correct, but the pickup appears to be too quick, so the failed hill start for instance, could be tricky. It may induce stalls when you don't want them. The chart appears great for on road use. I really would like to try achipped vehicle off road. I know TC have done a lot of great research, but I do not know if they off roaded a D3.

If and it's a big if a dealer updated the car's software and 'removed' our modification then we would happily re-chip the car for free.

120 Disco 3s to date and 15 RR Sports cant be bad Wink

Turbochip, thanks for that, any comments on BN's post above with regard to off road performance?

Cheers,

We took our own disco 3 to greystoke off road in Cumbria and it performed brilliantly...it put a defender to shame even when fiited with the standard M+S tyres Wink

Still interested in chipping, but need to know the bottom end grunt capabilities. At what uphill and downhill angles and on what surface did you put the D3 through and in which gears and ratio. I know the course well. Are you guys qualified off road for at least level 2 or above. Any of you up to LANTRA standard for off road.

BUMP! Any joy with the rolling road maps?

This would show the low end difference of the chipped engine, as asked for above.

My D3 spends a large majority of it's time going to & from work, or long drives at the weekends/holidays.

Much as I'd like some extra power for when starting/overtaking, what I would like to know is how the TurboChip will impact me when I am driving at 70mph on the Motorway for miles on end.

Hello

Apoligies for the delay in responding.

Our Turbochip makes no difference to the car when set for off road capabilities. There are several engine maps in the ecu and we only modify the 'on road' map as the car is more than capable when driving off road with standrd power and torque.

With regard to low end 'grunt'..manufacturers original peak torque now appears some 200 rpm lower and throttle response is also improved (something other tuners cannaot alter)

With regard to driving at 70mph the car will prob return 4-5 mpg extra fuel economy

I'm still considering this, but what do you mean that throttle response is improved and why can't others do this? Do you also mean that maximum torque is 200 rpm lower or the equivalent torque current maximum is 200rpm lower?

Sorry for all the questions Wink
