But isn't the vast majority of the "divorce bill" down to prior commitments we have already agreed to?
Yes but €100M is about 10yrars of net contribution- the current budget round is until about 2020 or so. So at best €20M. And then you need to argue the assets we have contributed to.
But it doesn’t matter what we say on here it will be whatever it will be.Mark.

It's BN not M ....either way take whatever we might have to pay and times it by at least 20 for what we will lose overall over the next ten years
And you are right, we might do, but doubt it - and I can say that with as much certainty as you can say we will.
Its such a shame that Europe seem to want to punish the Uk for not wanting to be in their club any longer. It should have been so much easier and cleaner ( It still can be, but that is 99% down to Europe stop being childish with their toys.) In fact, you could argue that article 50 should be more prescriptive to the broad terms - financial and human so that any member has a good idea of what is required. But like everything, hindsight is a wonderful thing, though I suspect it was written to appease someone and was never anticipated that anyone would want to leave utopia.Mark.

Another strong performance from our leader today at PMQ’s
I’m so glad she’s at the helm during this difficult time. She’s doing a fine job on brexit

One of my reasons to vote remain, was that I couldn't think of a party/leader/individual who could do a good job.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

What amazes me about this whole Brexit issue is David Cameron. The only reason this vote took place was to keep a few back benchers happy and stop them from ousting him. Referendum goes south and David abandons ship and does a runner. He should have been made stay on as PM to sort out the mess he got the UK into. He called the referendum on a whim just like Mrs May called the snap election, they both lost but at least Mrs May is trying to put " Humpty Dumpty together again"
I totally disagree, as soon as the result was announced Cameron's position as MP became untenable.
The Brexiteers would be constantly pointing the finger of blame, citing that he didn't want us to leave anyway as the reason for anything not going how they wanted it to.
Whilst I didn't think it was a good idea and wish we hadn't had it, the referendum wasn't called on a whim. It was in the Tory party manifesto and seen as a way to stop the rise of UKIP , quell the Tory party infighting and immigration issue.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
