Hope it transpires to be something a lot more minor than what we're expecting. Fingers firmly crossed for you chap LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

There is a chain & tensioner in the head.

Well it's in the yard of the garage, 65 miles & about an 80 minute drive. Will get up early and try and be there when it opens tomorrow morning.
Off to bed now, been a long and stressful day, and no idea what tomorrow will bring.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with Old Dee. I had been offline all day and thought I would take a look at the thread and photos which were great until I saw this one.
